#419 “Jump The Shark” Review By RivalHunter {SO LATE !! LOL}
A Guy’s Point Of View — Yay! Congratulations to me for winning the Latest Review in S. H. A. Blog History!! Lol I do apologize though. With that said lets DO IT!!! :p
I was really uncomfortable with the subject of the episode for fandom reasons and personal but to my surprise, it was pretty damn good. :] Man, where do I start? Oh just to let you guys know I read all your comments after I did my review and went over the review to add replies-n-such.
At the start of the episode it looked like Dean had a hangover and the brown bag was barf inside.. But no… he was tired and it was tuna.. Lame lol (omg Lola totally with you there)
On the acting. I thought Jake undersold the whole beginning and he only truly shown great acting when he became ghoul status. He played a better monster than long lost brother. Adam, I thought was a good addition to the Winchester Family but like Sam said they are CURSED so we really can’t expect to see any other members. The fact that he died made me a little sad lol I mean this blog and its fandom *deep evil voice* have the power to bring certain characters back by means of nagging and ranting!!! LOL But oh well great idea.
Regarding Sam-o! I thought it was really cool how Sam just accepted him, *snaps fingers* like that! He has diffenitly changed, but ya know what I like! He’s a better man not some pansy wuss. LOL Sam acted just like an older brother should! By teaching him how to shoot, lay traps, make a home-made flamethrower! LOL etc. Which is a side of Sam we’ve never seen before. Awesome.
As for Dean… Totally reasonable that he would be butt hurt from this half brother hahaha. After watching almost four years of this show I’ve come to learn that we shouldn’t to doubt him! …Like ever! lol Everything from “it’s a trap!” to him telling Adam that he was okay with monsters and demons, he’s spot on even when things don’t appear as they should, (hmm foreshadowing maybe?) OH and when he beat the crap out of the ghoul with this, this rage, friggin’ awesome! But has Dean really changeeed? I actually agree with you Niki! LOL he hasn’t, its almost like he never learns!
Ghouls! Disgustingly awesome! (nuff said lol)
John side of the story… OK a message to all you ladies and I’ll speak from first hand experience, family relations etc. When you have a character like that err any guy, ugh how do I say this? If your with a guy and he falls in love with you it does not necessarily mean that he can’t love another woman. It sucks but these things happen and secrets are kept and siblings end up like Adam and the bros. Plus John wasn’t perfect (that’s fo sho!), men need sex, admit it! LOL and, for lack of a positive word, accidents, do happen. So to me I bought the whole story. Niki, I wanna say I was disappointed but its hard when you have true drama but I see where your coming from. :]
I really don’t mean to be ranty or handout life lessons or advice but I thought you guys should all know where I come from.
The hunter burning scene really threw me off… I mean “take it anyway you want” geez who’d to thought 5 words can make you be like, WTF!? LOL and also Sam is just like John, uhh no… I don’t even want to list the ways he’s NOT… Adam going out like a hunter was just noble and a good ending.
To sum it all up. Not really in my tops but definitely memorable. Oh and an A for effort hahha! It’s good to be back and I’m looking forward to tomorrows episode, I think I might be the only one okay to see Anna! lol! :]

Funny thing is, after I watched it again, I really liked it. I was just thrown off because its placement in the line up. It was really great drama!!

Now, I’m going to disagree with you…oh the shock of it!! Sam is A LOT like John. They both have/had a single-minded obsession and neither can or want to see the consequences of their actions. They both struggle with rage issues and the first word out of their mouth on any given hunt is revenge. Now Sam has some differences but they have all but vanished. He is a killing machine and so was John.
And last but not least…you’re a dude, of course you want to see Anna!!!

and women are exactly the same (about falling in love with someone but still cheating and/or loving someone else ) That’s just life and believe me, I get it (been there done that 
). BUT! My problem with this whole story is this- this is a TV show, the greatest difference between real life and TV show is that, well, the one is real the other is not, lol. And if u can’t make the real life character (person) perfect, u can make a perfect tv character (especially when it’s the hero type as JW). And yes, I get it that JW is not supposed to be perfect and I get it that the point of this episode was to show us that Dean has finally stopped worshiping his dad, but I don’t know, I guess I just felt like they did it the wrong way. And wit JW (JDM) not being there and not being able to jastify his actions (lol) it kinda felt lame…
So, I guess I’ll just start with the most important thing I wanted to say about ur review (and since it was kinda inderectly refered to my comment anyway..)-JW not being perfect and all that. See, I get what u mean and I hate to break it up to u (lol) but women need sex too
And also, I have to go with Niki on that one-Sam is indeed exactly the same as his father. We saw that back in MS and we keep seeing it in every episode from S4.. Sadly, because I kinda liked Sam from S1 and 2…
But anyway, I agree with everything else u said. The fact that Sam accepted Adam so easily was a little bit weird but easily explaine. And for once Sam got the chance to be the big bro and to teach the little one some stuff (the way we know Dean told him..)

John knew the difference between right and wrong. Sam does not.
John would never use underhanded demonish ways like Sam. except that last deal he made to bring Dean back but I really wouldn’t count that.. dont know i just wouldn’t lol
Sam is meant to be evil or bound to go dark side John was never like that. thats just Sams nature now.
John is tons more caring then New Sam, Old Sam was caring.
As for rage issues who doesn’t have’m? LOL

But I have new question now…Now that I think back earlier Sam was more alike sooo.. Who was more alike to John, Sam in S1&2 or Sam in S3&4?

He used to know and John used to blur the lines between right and wrong ALL the time. When you find out that your kid is dying (Faith), you PICK UP THE PHONE!!!!

Sam still cares, he is a junkie and that wins out. And I recall that John could put aside “care” to win. Like asking your son to SHOOT you (yep, my dad would say that LOL) and then ask your other son to kill his brother (nice).
As for rage, Dean does not trap and feed on rage like John and Sam, but he went through hell as well. Literally.
So, now I will leave you alone sugar!! Not fun when the women gang up on you!!
Sam in seasons 1-4. Underlying Sam is still there. They would fight like a couple of cats in a bag because they are so much alike. Dean is the peacemaker and the caretaker. He is like Mary. Even sensitive Sam is like John. Remember John from “In the Beginning”? A sweet soul.
Yup and remember Mary from “ITB” ? Dean was clearly alike her… I remember I even said in my review of that ep that I had just realized while I was watching that episode that Dean had a lot more things in common with Mary than with John – I mean the John we saw in ITB Who was clearly everything a hunter wasn’t (Dixit Mary herself) -

Niki, u’r so right. Dean and Mary were really alike. They were both hunters because of their families, not because they had some personal revenge or agenda (like John and Sam). They both want normal life, but they stick around and do what’s best for the family and for all the others. And they never put themselves and their goals above others (not like John and Sam).
Funny how Dean is always shown as the bad and tough guy, but in the end it’s actually the quiet one-Sam (just like John before the fire was “everything a hunter is not”)
