AS WE reported at the weekend, Supernatural Season Five is seeing some old names return to haunt the Winchester brothers.
In the latest revelation, Erik Kripke, creator of The CW’s demon-slaying show, has confirmed to TV Guide magazine that he will bring back the demon Meg that gave the Winchesters and their father so much trouble in Season One.
However the ‘meat’ – as the bodies demons inhabit are so charmingly referred to – worn by Meg is due to change because its previous incarnation, Nicki Aycox, is busy on TNT drama Dark Blue.
Producers have instead cast Rachel Miner (pictured) who starred on US daytime soap Guiding Light and was briefly married to Home Alone child star Macaulay Culkin. She has also been in the TV series Californication and in 2006 murder thriller The Black Dahlia.
Filming on the new season is due to begin in at the end of this week and producers are expected to reveal some of the first footage during the Supernatural panel at Comic Con in San Diego at the end of this month.

Ok, don’t get me wrong, but I hope this is just a bad picture of this actress. Never seen her in anything, but I hope she’s at least as good as…well I wanna say NA, but Jen u’r right, NA is the only Meg. She was just too good to be easily replaced. But of course I’m trying to keep an open mind about this, I really do. Bringing Meg back is a risky idea, coz the same as with Ruby, if the new actress can’t sell the part, the character will just lose its ..charm, lol =)))
Ok, maybe I’m too hard on her, I just googled RM and apparently, she has an Emmy nomination..Guess that’s worth sth (though we all know that not all of the actors who deserve a nomination, get one.. =) ) So, I’m keeping an open mind =))
Yup, that’s what I’m trying to do too, I’ll give her a chance, but she can’t screw it up… Cause I won’t give her a second chance… So far I saw her in Californication and I liked her… So who knows ?!
Guys!!! Lets remember ONE thing about Meg…she was beautifully written. Both Nikki and Jared played her to a tee!! This girl can act. And come on!!! Don’t you think that EK has learned his lesson about casting old characters by now? Let us assume that he got this right.
Yup, that’s what I said… Let’s give her a chance…
