Onward!! Ok, first we talk of Archangelness. Gabriel, I thought this was a huge twist because I really loved the fact that he was Pagan God. The whole thing of a really powerful NEUTRAL entity. The idea of gathering other neutral enemies to fight along side the brothers is awesome I hope they find others. Pagan God vs Angels vs Luci it just seems really chaotic and epic. Buutttt no…. He’s an Archangel who pretended to be a trickster and really played the part good too good if you ask me lol.
Another thing I’ve learned by watching the show is that neither demon or angel can be trusted. So in turn, I don’t think we can count on Gabriels advice “you have to play your roles” -count him as a trickster still playing his F*in tricks LOL plus you would think an Archangel wouldn’t have feelings so he wouldn’t act like such a pussy about his brothers fighting (sorry for the term but kinda annoyed lol) I’m not really interested about where he came from but what are his motives, and to me nothing good, he’s pushing it just like Zach…. He helped Sam last time in Mystery spot (one of my favorites) but then again things turned out fine like he already knew what was going to happen HMMM…..idk lol!
As for The Winchester futures… I think they’ll make their own destiny, if there is a way Kripke will make something happen, like he always does. He’ll lead you one way just to twist you in the other direction…
Okay on to the funnies! Yeah did not like the opening theme song!! Wow! Lets not do that again LOL but Deans catch phrase, hilarious! ‘Son of a bitch”

A Girl’s Point Of View — I was expecting to watch a stand-aloner, and that was a great surprise cause it was EVERYTHING but a stand-aloner ! I LIKED !
So let’s skip the whole “Funny” part of the episode, cause there’s not much to say about it, I mean I’m sure we all agree to say that this week’s episode was simply HILARIOUS ! So what would be the point of discussing the funny scenes ? Let’s go straight to the serious things…
The trickster is GABRIEL the Archangel, well I really didn’t see that coming, even though I absolutely love the fact that there’s more to Richard’s character than a monster with a great sense of humor, there are still things that I don’t really get…
First off, how come an Archangel ended up on planet Earth years before the Apocalypse started ? I mean, Richard’s been introduced to us on 2007 right ? We’ve started to hear about the Apocalypse on 2008, and BTW didn’t Cas tell Dean back in the #402 AYTGIMDW that the angels were walking for the first time on planet Earth in 2000 years JUST because Lilith was trying to free Lucifer from Hell ? So why did Gabriel escape a year before that ? I mean yeah, he said he couldn’t watch his brothers jumping at each others’ throats but does that mean he’s left heaven… I mean, that he’s been AWOL for like 02 years ? And his brothers didn’t notice that he was gone ?! I don’t know man, that sounds weird…
Also, He did say something that caught my attention as we were the ones that said it in the first place, that one brother has to kill the other one… Isn’t that what we’ve been saying for 02 years now ? The whole “Brothers’ Death Match” thing : Sam VS. Dean ?! If this is where the story’s heading then I’d say : BRING IT ! I know I know I’m kinda being cruel here but I’ve always been a fan of the whole “Brother VS Brother” thing… WTS – I have to admit I loved the way the writers made the connection between what happened to the Angels and what happened to the Winchesters, you know that Lucifer has rebelled against his father (Sam), whereas Michael has been loyal to his ‘absent’ father (Dean)… I really had the feeling, Gabriel was talking about the Winchester brothers !
Ohhh I wanted to talk about Richard’s performance, he was great !!! I mean, seriously, one second he was really funny trapping the brothers into TV Land, then BAM the very next second he was evil, his look was different, and so were his facial expressions, Richard’s a great actor !
I’d like to talk about the Brothers’ destiny now… Well I still think they’ll end up saying “Yes” to Luci & Michael… But I could be wrong about this, who knows ? See, here’s the thing, the more we’re going further in the season the more I feel like everything’s already planned for the boys… I feel like, there’s no escape from their destiny… They have to be the vessels for the final battle that’ll definitely destroy the Earth causing the deaths of billions of people… They have to be ! And to me, there’s no other options… Even if I think they still believe there’s gotta be another way outta this, I think sooner or later they’ll realise that’s their destiny and that they can’t do anything to prevent this from happening… Besides, I kinda think the brothers are already starting to have doubts about the possibility of having any other available options here as Dean asked Sam if he thought Gabriel was telling the truth about the final battle and that Sam didn’t answer that he thought all the things the trickster said were crap… And that he just answered “He seems to believe it…” well to me that sounds like doubts…
Anyways, I think that’s pretty much what I could say about that episode… It was awesome, and I really hope Gabriel will be back, I’ve always been a fan of the Trickster !!!

That’s why I love this show! Seriously? Seriously =)) Although I was spoiled about this episode I still did not see that coming! Gabriel? Nice =)) For one, this means we’ll be seeing more of Richard this year and that’s awesome!! Jen, I believe u’r overthinking it here. I mean, as we know in S2 Kripke didn’t plan on introducing angels to the show and the Trickster was just another monster of the week. So if having more of him this season will cause some confusion about the past-I say bring it =))
Favourite part of the episode- Sam as the Impala =) When he said “Should I honk?” I nearly fell from the chair laughing. Amazing =))
Btw, almost every episode so far someone says to the boys they cannot change their destiny. It just makes me believe they will.
So, to sum it up-best episode this season!
I adored this episode. Best. Show. Ever.
Anyway, in saying that, I think that the writers implied that Gabriel had left way before 02 years ago. He stated a few times that they’ve gone through this “apocalypse” situation several times already, and he just wants to get it over with — again.
But I’m pretty sure the writers just came up with the-Trickster-is-Gabriel this season, sooo!~
Also one’ve the most hilarious episodes to date. Mocking other shows..<3
Yup not wrong Jeggy… And Lola, well I don’t know considering the fact that Kripke has always said he had a 05-year-plan for his show, I’m guessing he knew he was gonna add the angels/archangels to the myth-arc of the series…
I think my fav part of the episode was the procedural cop show… “I’m wearing sunglasses AT NIGHT !” LMAOOOOOOOOOOO I laughed my ass off watching that scene… And Sam “Well I say… Jackpot !” LOOOOL
Loved this episode. It’s on my list of all time favorites. This episode rocked! I loved all the parodies. I knew all the shows, even “Grey’s” even though it’s not one I watch. I actually loved “Knight Rider”, I even liked that last incarnation (yeah I know no accounting for taste
) so that whole parody was pure bliss. Dean’s reaction to hearing Sam’s voice coming out from his baby perfect, the red lights in the grill, the car speeding down the road and even the same music. Sampala the name for “baby” awesome. I saw that mentioned on another review.
“Seriously” was serious! Hasn’t Sam been using that word a lot this season?? Sam getting slapped so many times was really funny. It really should have been Dean not Sam. (isn’t Dean the woman chaser?) Dean’s crush on Dr Sexy…loved it I understand that. I have a crush on Steve Basic. Dean knowing he wore cowboy boots! Way to go Dean!!
Great comedy for most of it then bam it turns dramatic…. Great twist, trickster is Gabriel. I did not see that coming. “Gabriel blow your horn!” well the trickster has been doing that since the Winchester Boys first met him. Maybe Gabe was pretending to be the Trickster to mess with their minds? Maybe the trickster is still alive and well. Would make sense cause Trickster’s MO and antics doesn’t fit with an archangel.
I love this show so the issue as to whether either or both boys will say yes to their intended vessels is too complex a question and makes my head hurt. This one I’m just going to wait and see what happens. “In Kripke I Trust”. He and writers haven’t let me down so far.

I believe in destiny but I do believe that we can change how we get there, so I believe Sam and Dean will do it their way and neither will say yes to their vessels…and the human race and earth will be saved.
Well Nitewoman you’re optimistic and I like that, I wish I could be but I’ve always been a pessimist which is why I want them to say yes to their vessels LOL I know I suck but that’s okay, I’m used to it
you really shouldve gone into the funny part of the episode. how FANTASTIC are j2 as comedy actors!!! facial expressions were priceless this episode. i laughed so hard i cried. jared’s expressions when he’s doin the genital herpes ad? jensen’s expressions when he first sees Dr Sexy MD? HAHAHAHAHAHA EPIC! best part of the episode: THE OPENING THEME! LOOOOOOOOOOOL.
and i looved their references to the real shows and stuff and their twist on it. Biel needs a face transplant? HAHA poor jessica biel! Ellen Picklehope instead of Ellen Pompeo. A FAT denny duquette instead of sexy JDM? Dr Wang HAHAHA

OK! Thought this was hilarious but GABRIEL!! Hot damn, now we have a horse race. As for the questions about angels not being around for 2000 years…Gabriel could be classified as “different”. He is the messenger. He is here a lot. Castiel would not have known that Gabe had gone missing. Very few would have.
The Trickster is Gabriel, I love it. What if the boys can convince Gabe that humanity is worth saving? If they convinced Cas, they can convince Gabe. And Gabriel cannot be screwed with. Not by Michael, not by anyone. They let him out of that fire and he will remember that. For some reason, I think that they CAN trust him. Now we have Michael vs Lucifer vs Sam, Dean , Cas and Gabriel. OR what if Cas can convince him to turn on his God radar? I think that this is cool. As for being trustworthy, he has been strangely trustworthy! As the Trickster, he was up front with them. Not about who he was (which is understandable) but he never tried to kill them – well, for real! He was trying to teach Sam a lesson. The Trickster has been strangely kind.
